Call For intercessors
This is an urgent call for intercessors for the New York City mission
The new York city mission is a mission that needs to be (blood) soaked in prayer
for protection of all who contribute to it - including intercessors from other cities and nations.
It is absolutely on the bleeding edge of missions, and is making an urgent call for intercessors
Pray generally for protection, breakthrough and such like. We are very grateful for those prayers and we thank you for remembering us in your prayers.
We are also asking the Lord to call intercessors to dedicate themselves to labouring alongside us in the harvest, through partnering with one or more mission fields with specific prayers to unlock the current and daunting blockages and barriers with which missionaries are presented every day as they labour in their mission field.
As you watch this video, ask the Lord whether he would call you to pray regularly for the New York City mission, and send an enquiry, that would start the process of connecting you to NYCM as a prayer partner.
So, what is New York? It is a modern metropolis of 8.5 million people with 5 boroughs - Brooklyn with 2.6 million, Queens with 2.4 million, Manhattan with 1.6 million, the Bronx with 1.4 million and Staten Island with 0.5 million.
The population is very dense - over 27,000 people per square kilometer - people of African, Asian, European and HIspanic descent. Relatively young population, with a median age in the mid-thirties, and nearly equal amounts of men and women, with just a slight majority of females. It is known for its large immigrant population, making it one of the most multicultural cities in the world, and can be considered to be about 200 different communities, each considered to be a very specific and targeted mission field.
During 2026, the New York City mission has set up a pilot for multiplication discipleship - initially within 3 mission fields, then by May, within an additional 17 mission fields.
This video is seeking to recruit committed intercessors to partner with missionaries labouring in the three initial mission fields, to cover the work of launching the additional in prayer, then to co-labour with missionaries in all twenty mission fields, to see multiplication discipleship modelled and demonstrated in all 20 mission fields in the pilot, throughout 2026.
To describe this prayer assignment as strategic would, in my opinion, be the understatement of the year. The question is, are you the one God can depend on to fulfill it?

Invariably, partnership with one of these missions will lead to partnership with similar missions in different parts of the world, as the unique characteristic of cities as agents of world evangelisation reveals itself.
This type of prayer assignment is not for the fainthearted. Indeed, multiplication discipleship requires a reset of the traditional altar call to something that more closely resembles the call of Jesus in Mark 8:34, and it catapults the cosy intercessor right to the front lines of missionary endeavour - where battles are won and where seasons change.
But there is, at this moment, a window of opportunity for a significant shift in the dynamics of the global harvest. So, if you plan to get involved, may I suggest that a good time might be now. The question is, if not now, when?
