In the conference we had contributions from Newcastle, from Cleveland Ohio, and one of the scheduled speakers was from Birmingham, England. Our conversation, proceeding out of the conference, includes participants from Preston, from Birmingham, from London, and from cities in Ireland, Norway and Kenya.

Immediately before the conference in February, I visited Frankfurt and was hosted by a very vibrant section of the body of Christ in that city, that was moving along the same track that I believe God is calling cities in Europe to move on – collaboration between churches in mission, unity in vision, co-ordination between prayer and mission, and interconnectivity between mission organizations operating in Frankfurt.

The city has become a center for collaboration between mission activities in multiple European cities, and has gone beyond the fellowship gatherings which were inspired by a core of prayer warriors (as in Lancaster), to a more fulsome collaboration in being church within the city. Like everywhere, there is a long way to go, but progress is encouraging.

Many cities in the UK now have houses of prayer, and someone from a house of prayer in Stoke-On-Trent is currently carrying a cross to each of the European capitals from March 2024 to March 2025.

Discussions are in the early stages towards having a conference in 2025 that will promote multiplication discipleship, and prayer that leads to mission which leads to prayer, in cities across Europe. Support toolkits are being put together, integrated and tailored for the unique situations which obtain in different cities, so that the general word of God will find specific application all over Europe.
