The Lancaster mission conversation continues, and a clear message is arising out of that conversation. Let the conversation continue, so that with one voice we will speak the same message, and embrace the same vision.
How will this message be disseminated? By what means will short messages like the one below be disseminated to an entire nation, and beyond? It may be that we place more emphasis than we should on how well we articulate a message, since the same message, inspired by the Holy Spirit, will be reflected and repeated from many lips, and with the help of many different stories and metaphors. There is also a spiritual factor in communicating a message, and we need to understand the dynamics of this factor Since we can understand that this message will be communicated to the nation with spiritual help, we can also understand that a similar message to the church will also be effectively communicated by the same means.
Lancaster and surrounding cities need to be re-evangelized by a militant, mobilized church declaring the Gospel with witness and testimony that validates the truth of the Gospel. But this message to the church about multiplication discipleship, the message to the nation about who Jesus really is, will only be propagated on the wings of prayer.
Prayer
Mission
Conclusions from the various Bible based conversations in prayer rooms, coffee houses, fellowship rooms, online chat rooms become discipleship, and produce testimony, witness, faith and transformation in the mission fields of our cities. Everything we do must increase collaboration and partnership in mission, and must therefore be underscored, underlined and undergirded with humility.
I encourage us to participate in this conversation by way of comment and extension, and to trumpet this word utilizing whatever pulpit or platform we might have. Mal 3:16 says “Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.”. This conversation flowed out of our very small mission conference in Lancaster, and is expected to flow, together with stories and inspiration into another conference in 2025 with a more national scope, that focuses on the strategic interface between Prayer and Mission.
Let the conversation continue, and let prayer houses be established to give wings to this conversation and this message, resulting in the re-evangelization of our city and beyond.
Please visit missionconf.org which contains resources and information about how you can contribute podcasts to this conversation, and also about trainings and prayer “fuel” that will support the growth and prevailing of the word and testimony of the Lord in our city. (Acts 19:20)
